Brief

Deakin & Blue are a women’s swimwear brand with a unique sizing system built on the philosophy that ‘no two "size 12" bodies are the same’. Ranch were tasked with creating e-comm and editorial assets to launch Spring/Summer ranges for the last 2 years

The Process

behind the project

For disruptor brands our content creation needs to jump off the screen, getting across their key brand values in a styling and contemporary way.

With the limitations of shooting in studio for editorial content, our creative wheels get spinning with what we can do with colour and light to help showcase not just the products but the brand culture. 

MAKE IT STAND OUT.

The Solution

Utilising some of the brightest LED lighting on the market, we can quickly switch from photo to video shooting modes in the same setups to create beautiful, matching video assets to compliment the editorial photography, just as we did with the Deakin & Blue SS20 campaign…with a few plants from the local garden centre to help along the way!

With around 0.5 seconds to grab attention on the scroll, these ‘moving pictures’ create a simple and effective way to differentiate content beyond the noise…ideal for disruptor brands.
